Why is steaming brooms important?

Steaming brooms in a bathhouse is not a trivial matter, but a real ritual. The comfort, aroma and even the benefits of steaming depend on how the broom is prepared. An incorrectly steamed broom will be stiff, unpleasant to the touch and will lose its aroma. A properly prepared broom, on the other hand, will give off light steam, be soft and beneficial to your health.

Why is it important to steam brooms correctly?

Softness and elasticity. The leaves become pleasant to the body, do not scratch or break.

Aroma and effect. Herbs and leaves release essential oils that create a unique atmosphere in the steam room.

Health. A properly steamed broom is aromatherapy and has a healing effect.

Bath masters say: ‘There is no good bath without a properly steamed broom.’

Which steamer to choose: advice from experienced bath attendants

This is where people often make a mistake. Some use ordinary buckets or cheap wooden steamers. But they quickly:

darkens and loses its appearance,

dries out,

begins to leak,

requires constant complex care.

Therefore, bath attendants advise to immediately purchase a steam broom for the bath with an insert and a lid. It maintains the temperature, does not leak and lasts for years.

TESLI steamer: the solution for those who value quality

The Ukrainian brand TESLI creates accessories for baths that are already popular in Europe and Canada.

Thermowood does not crack, is not affected by moisture, and has a beautiful texture.

The stainless steel insert with a lid does not leak, is easy to clean, and will last for years.

Two options: 15 l and 20 l — for home and professional use.

How to steam bath brooms correctly (practical tips)

Pour hot (not boiling!) water into the steamer.

Place the broom inside and cover with the lid.

For birch, 10–15 minutes is enough, for oak — up to 30 minutes.

Check — the branches should be soft and the aroma rich.

Tip: do not use boiling water — it will ‘cook’ the leaves and the broom will lose its beneficial properties.

Steamer care

In steamers without inserts, the wood darkens, and in order for them to last longer, complex care and regular treatment are required.

TESLI steamers are simpler: just drain the water, wipe and dry. Everything is ready for the next steam room session.

Steming brooms is the key to true enjoyment of the bathhouse. And most importantly — the right tool.

A steamer made of thermowood and a stainless steel insert from TESLI will preserve your brooms and make steaming a real ritual.
